The Candid Arts gallery is a place dedicated to emerging artists. Candid arts guest several artists from different European countries, allowing the everyone in the arts the opportunity to show new and original concepts. Cubitt is a non-profit gallery founded by an artist collective in 1991. With 32 artist studios and a locally focused education programme, while visiting Cubitt you will find independent exhibitions and events created by an unique network dedicated to creative freedom. From April 10 the gallery will guest “The Shape of a Right Statement – Cynthia Maughan with Ben Kinmont and Wu Tsang”.

Located near King’s Place, the Pangolin Gallery is one of the city’s few galleries dedicated to exhibiting sculptures, continuing to deliver rotating exhibitions of high quality. This April you can visit the “Ralph Brown RA: A Memorial” exhibition dedicated to the sculptor and Royal Academician Ralph Brown, and the “Pangolin London Sculpture Trail” created by the hosted artists.

The gallery founded by Ziba Ardalan is now a foundation for contemporary art and a non-profit art institution for the public. Internationally renowned, Parasol Unit has been instrumental in launching the careers of artists such as Michaël Borremans, Yang Fudong and Charles Avery. From today until March 16 the Turkish artists Canan Tolon will show “Sidesteps”.

Tintype’s mission is to support distinctive, original international artists, which it achieves by having an educational programme for aspiring artists. Once a year the Tintype team offers the gallery as a project space leading to a subsequent show. From March 12 they are hosting the “Fixed Position” exhibition by Flora Parrott, winner of the Arts Council/British Council Artists’ International Development Fund Award.

First opened in Mayfair, Victoria Miro relocated to a converted, 8,000-square-foot former furniture factory situated in Islington. The gallery is almost unique in London for having its own garden, a beautiful landscaped area overlooking a restored stretch of the Regent’s Canal at Wenlock Basin which has been used to great effect for installations by gallery artists such as Yayoi Kusama. From March 13, it hosts “Representing the Possible” by Stephen Willats.
