Islington is the third most adulterous borough in London, according to data from the extramarital affairs website Illicit Encounters.
The website for people seeking “discreet and confidential extramarital dating” revealed that there are 11,145 users on the site from Islington.
That means that 5.54 per cent of the borough’s population is using the website to seek a dalliance outside the confines of their marriage.

The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea was named as the borough with the highest proportion of residents using Illicit Encounters. A total of 8,520 locals, or 5.67 per cent of residents, are registered on the site.
The other boroughs in the top five are Hammersmith and Fulham in second, Bromley in fourth and Brent in fifth place.
The website claims it has 1 million users across the UK. It further proclaims that its users “have one thing in common – they are all looking for a little romance outside their current relationship”.
