The Islington branch of Strada on Upper Street has raised nearly £500 for Red Nose Day on Friday.
The restaurant collected the cash after holding two events and asking generous customers to donate.
Tommaso Di Santo, 40, the assistant manager, said: “We had a moustache day and that was great fun. All of our staff wore them and we raised about £120.
“We also had an 80s-themed fancy dress day. People were dressed up as old-school gangsters but some also went for the Bonnie and Clyde look. There were lots of funny hats too. That raised about £200.”
The restaurant donated 25p for each dish sold on a specially created menu and also encouraged customers to donate when paying their bill.
The Strada group has been fundraising around the country and has raised a total of about £6,000 for Comic Relief.
Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the unteaapprecirded (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
None of those girls ever set a leg over a bicycle not alone rode one! If the cycling world wants women that can market their products then at least find women that are interested in cycling and can ride, and not some anorexic looking bimbos.
