Archway resounded to the tune of pedal-powered music on Monday as bike generators were manned by enthusiastic passers-by to rev up the sound system.
Songs such as “Bicycle” by Queen were blasted out to raise awareness of the Archway Low Carbon Zone where the council are pushing to cut emissions by 20 per cent by 2012. Locals were invited to plug in their own MP3 players and even promote their own band’s music.

The event was organised by environmental arts collective Magnificent Revolution who have previously put on bike powered outdoor cinemas.
