FANS of the hit 90s TV game show The Crystal Maze can now have a go at cracking the maze themselves, after a new immersive experience opened in Islington on Tuesday.

A replica set has been built behind Angel station, giving Londoners the opportunity to have a go in the infamous Crystal Dome.

The nostalgic experience is based on the original TV series, which was once the most watched show on Channel 4.

For £50 per person (£60 on weekends), teams of up to eight people will be guided through replicas of the original four zones (Aztec, Industrial, Futuristic and Medieval) by a Maze Master.

Participants will play challenges one by one, testing their physical and mental ability in the hope of winning crystals to get more time in the final challenge.

In the original series, teams had to collect 100 golden tickets to win – but in this version, contestants will have to keep an eye out for the secret treasure chests in each zone, which will win them a mystery prize at the end.
