Benedict Cumberbatch to play fantasy character Angel Islington
You’ll never guess where will be starring in BBC Radio Four’s latest play.
The detective for the job is sometime Sherlock Holmes and celeb Benedict Cumberbatch.
He’ll be playing fantasy character Angel Islington in the show titled Neverwhere. This time though Cumberbatch won’t be solving crimes, he’ll be wearing a halo.
Where? In a magical realm called London Below where Angel Islington lives in a citadel watching over the universe.
The adaptation of the original TV series by Neil Gaiman was first aired in on BBC Two in 1996.
The latest hit will feature big names including Christopher Lee and James McAvoy.
Catch it on Radio Four on 16 March and on Radio 4 Extra from Monday 18 March.
