Free lunchtime recital at St. Mary’s on 21st March

This Friday, pianist Changyu Yin will present an exciting programme of late 19th and early 20th century Russian classical music at St Mary’s Church, Upper Street. The programme will commence with a performance of Prokofiev’s Sonata No.4 in C Minor, a powerfully emotive piece born out of grief for the loss of a close friend.

St Mary’s Church runs free concert on the third Friday of every month. Previous performances showcased Dvo?ák’s playful Sonatine on piano and singer Sophie Davies.

When: 21 March, 1:15pm-2pm

Where: St Mary’s Church, Upper Street, N1 2TX

Theatre: Good Grief

With themes of love, loss and friendship, Good Grief is a brutally honest and personal one act portraying a man’s defiant attempts to come to terms with the reality of loss.

The solo actor Matt Adie, who draws from his own experiences to write his debut play, hopes it will serve as a “twisted therapy” for anyone coping with loss. Through laying himself bare, he gives the play a strong emotional backbone that is balanced well with wit and the use of dark comedy.

Where: Hens and Chicken Theatre

Fee: £17.25

The Stitch Festival at the Design Centre
