Four police officers have been discharged from hospital following an incident involving a knife on Liverpool Road last Saturday night.

Alex Traykov, 19, has been charged with four counts of attempted murder at Highbury Magistrate’s Court on Monday.  A second man was also arrested on suspicion of affray and burglary but has since been released.

Islington Police expressed thanks on their Twitter page for the support received, with Lewisham MPS tweeting  “none of us should have to go to work and be subject to such an attack”.
