More than 200 tickets for the Olympic and Paralympic Games are up for grabs for Islington’s ‘Community Heroes.’ Any borough resident can make a nomination, explaining why their nominee deserves a free ticket to London’s biggest sporting event of the year. Nominations opened March 1 and close April 30. A selection panel representing residents, partners and sport bodies will shortlist applications in May. To make a nomination, go to: www.islington.gov.uk/communityheroes or fill out a nomination form at any Islington library.
