Man arrested in connection with Highbury balcony fall death

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after a woman fell to her death from a third storey balcony in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

The woman, 39, was pronounced dead at the scene, at Bushfield House, Highbury.

London Ambulance Service confirmed: “We were called early this morning, just after midnight, to Highbury New Park, to reports that a person had fallen from a height.”

Ambulance staff treated the patient, who was in cardiac arrest, but were unable to resuscitate her.

Police arrived just after midnight and arrested the man in connection with the incident.

Investigations are ongoing.
