Fashionistas of Upper Street were in awe this week when Mad Men star Christina Hendricks paid a visit to an upmarket jewellery and homeware store.
The curvy redhead, who is in Islington shooting for her new film Bomb, visited the shop, Oliver Bonas, on Saturday.
Store manager Phillipa Brawn, 28, said: “I hadn’t realised it was her, it was a customer that pointed it out to me. She wasn’t overly friendly, she wasn’t frosty she seemed very normal and down to earth.”
Ms Hendricks, who is famous for her hourglass figure, was wearing a cape as she perused the accessories. Ms Brawn said: “Everyone thought, oh no, she’s wearing a cape to cover everything up!”
Ms Brawn admitted she was a “huge fan” of Mad Men, which returns to Sky TV this week. She said: “I’m really looking forward to it. She’s one of the reasons I watch it for sure. I dyed my hair red because of her.”
Ms Brawn, who has worked at Oliver Bonas for five years, said they are used to celebrity customers, their most recent being Emma Watson and Natalie Cassidy.
