Here are some egg-cellent ways to keep your little chicks busy in the upcoming Easter holidays.
Libraries
There’s plenty of libraries across the boroughs to keep any keen readers occupied over the holidays.
The Lewis Carroll Library will be holding an Easter bunny headband and greeting card making session on 3 April, 2:30pm – 4pm.
Join in with Easter crafts at South Library on 3 April, 2 – 3:30pm and make Easter bags.
Visit the Cat and Mouse Library on 4 April and join in making colourful Birds of Paradise puppets. The session will be held 2:30 – 4pm.
Playgrounds
A trip outdoors can be a great way to burn energy during the holidays. Some great parks and playgrounds in Islington include:
- Crumbles Castle adventure playground is a nature-filled play area where children can enjoy swings and climbing equipment.
- Lumpy Hill adventure playground is a great place for kids who want to get messy. They can get involved with the vegetable patch, have water fights and enjoy the wooden playground structures.
Hampstead Heath
Located near Islington, children can join the Easter Forest school club and enjoy building dens, lighting fires and learning about the natural world.

Sports
Access to Sports Project will be holding free sporting activities throughout the Easter holiday in Islington and Hackney.
Children can get involved with multisport, football, tennis and more.
There are various locations including Millfields Park, Finsbury Park and Finsbury Park Leisure Centre.
