Hundreds gathered in Islington on Remembrance Sunday to honour those who gave their lives in conflicts around the world.

A parade led by an Air Cadets’ band, the Honourable Artillery Company and Islington Veterans’ Association marched from Highbury Corner down Upper Street to Islington Green where a service was held.

Rev Jonathan Brewster and representatives from other Islington faith communities led an inter-faith service with the traditional two minutes’ silence at 11am.
Those who laid wreaths included Islington mayor Theresa Debono and Jeremy Corbyn MP.
The crowd joined in with the hymns ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ and ‘O God, Our Help’ as well as the National Anthem.
