Being A Woman In Islington, Thursday 6:30pm-8:30pm, £5
Head to Impact Hub on Dingley Place and hear academics and researchers discuss whether they think Islington really is the worst place to be a woman in the country. Nibbles from Borough Market will be provided.
Press for Progress, Thursday, 6pm-9pm, £10
Enjoy an evening of talks, bubbly and self care at the Business Design Centre on Upper Street this week. Learn about health, leadership, sex and stress and network with other brilliant women.
Exhibition, Votes for Women, Thursday, 4:30pm-7:30pm, Free
Museum of London will be offering free guided tour of their Votes for Women exhibition with drinks and networking afterwards.
Supper at Luminary Bakery, 7:30pm, £38
If you’re feeling fancy, celebrity bakers Benjamina Ebuehi and Henrietta Inman will serve an array of baked goods and dishes at the Luminary Bakery in Stoke Newington. There will also be an auction for a Luminary x Meringue Girls cake! Yum!
This Girl Can, to 11th March, Free – £5
Enjoy cheap and free activities all across the borough, organised by This Girl Can. Have a go at a new activity, or simply enjoy some exercise with friends. Activities include Yoga and Zumba. Find more information on the council’s website.
100 years of Women’s Suffrage, 13th March, 6:30pm-8pm, Free
Former leader of Islington Council, MP Catherine West is hosting an evening of discussion of 100 years of women’s suffrage at Portcullis House on Parliament Street.
