Holloway Prison, just a stone’s throw from the bustle of Holloway Road, has been a constant fixture of the landscape for almost two centuries.
And in that time, the women’s prison has played host to a number of notable women – from Nazi-sympathising aristocrats, to notorious serial killers. We’ve found some of the most prominent inmates of the prison, to give you a sense of the importance of HMP Holloway in Britain’s cultural history.

Dear Molly,I have thought quite clearly about why women are attracted to criminals.However I have never understood why they sometimes choose to inflict pain on very young children.On my travels abroad some women have given me money to fund expenses of flights and property.When there is a language barrier we seem to over come it,but whatever has been done,I have done my best to avoid detection.As an eleven year old I was on Oxford Street but as a thirty three year old the rest of the city seemed to make sense.Now I hope you see people in a better way,even if they struggle to earn a living.
