A “dangerous” junction on Seven Sisters Road has seen two accidents in two days, leaving one man in critical condition.
A learner motorcyclist, believed to be 21 years old, was rushed to hospital with chest injuries and back pain after a collision with a lorry at 8.25am on Wednesday, only one day after a woman was hit by a van, suffering a broken leg, at the same spot.
Muhammad Muhammad, 58, a Finsbury Park resident who works at M&M Bedding on Seven Sisters Road, witnessed the accident on Wednesday morning. He said: “The van was turning into Hertslet Road when it hit the motorcyclist driving past. It looked serious.”
According to locals, accidents at the intersection are often caused by large vehicles making deliveries to Nags Head Market on Hertslet Road.
Rahman Masood, 45, manager of M&M Bedding, also witnessed the incident and added: “This road is very dangerous and there are too many accidents … I have worked here since 2011 and there have always been problems with accidents at this junction.”
