A charity toyshop has been broken into for the second time exactly a week after the first break-in.

The Toy Project, based in Archway, tweeted yesterday: “We’ve had the door of the shop smashed again! That’s two mondays in a row – not happy!”

While nothing was taken, the glass inside the door was severely cracked. A Chinese health shop next door had also suffered a break-in.

On Monday of last week, the children’s toyshop, which recycles unwanted toys, was burgled, causing nearly £300 of damage.

However, after setting up a GoFundMe page later that afternoon, the shop hit double their fundraising target as the local community rallied in support.

Since the second break in, the community has shown their love for the local business on Twitter. User @MaryKatKelleher said: “Keep up the good work you do. Hope those who did this are brought to justice, and that in the future, nothing but good will come your way.”

User @JohnRogerson1 said: “Need stick two fingers up to these thugs who think they can ruin Archway and it’s amazing community, because they’ll never win!!”
